I recently started reading a new webtoon called "울부짖는 역린" (Howling King's Wrath). I have only read the first episode, but it showed a qualified drawing style and story. While it could potentially have an anticlimax similar to many other works, the dialogues are unique and significantly different from other mass-produced webtoons. These days, thousands of web novels are webtoonized, even though its artistic value is not that good, because it is bankable. As a result, many webtoons have similar themes and storylines, which is leading to a dumbing down of the webtoon industry. However, Howling King's Wrath shows its differentiation through a rough drawing style and unique characters.

The intriguing point of Howling King's Wrath is that it conveys each character's characteristics and the overall storyline with brief explanations. This trait harmonizes with the drawing style, and the result of this harmonization—a concise and solid universe—creates a piece that is optimally suited to the current webtoon market. Although I haven't read many episodes of Howling King's Wrath, I have high expectations that this work could become a representative webtoon in the dark fantasy genre if it maintains this quality.
